Why do I love Thrive Market so much?

  • As a certified Nutritional Therapist, I am a relentless advocate of food security. I believe that access to nutrient dense food is a human right and I know down to my bones that ALL social justice issues could be improved or even resolved with proper access to healthy foods. I’ll go down swinging on this one.

  • I’m a huge fan of Thrive Market’s give back initiatives - particularly the partnership with Chef Jose and World Central Kitchen to provide food aid to Ukraine in 2022. (I read impact reports like some people read comic books.) I used Thrive market’s 2022 impact report as a reference for the 2023 Impact Report I curated and designed for my team at HigherRing.

  • I was so excited to learn about Thrive Market’s recent announcement to be the first online retailer to accept SNAP benefits. One of my favorite CPG clients, ZEGO Foods (a sibling B Corp) was instrumental in advocating for the most recent updates to SNAP nutrition requirements so this is close to my heart. By the way you should totally add ZEGO to the Thrive platform - I can put you in touch with the Founder ; )

  • I truly do believe that business can be used as a vehicle for positive impact in the world which is why I have been a proud participant of the B Corp community for the last 3 years. First as an admirer, always prioritizing B Corp purchases, then as an employee with a B Corp and most recently as a volunteer with the board of B Local NYC. I am passionate about supporting companies like Thrive that have big goals for being a sustainable/ethical business - and are actually meeting those goals in a time where greenwashing is the prevailing approach for “corporate social responsibility.”

Why am I the perfect fit for the Associate Manager, Mission role?

  • I already live and breathe the brand ethos - I’m a food advocate down to my core and I’m passionate about connecting people with CPG brands that are doing it right.

  • I have played a significant role working cross functionally with the HigherRing leadership team to support our sustainability initiatives. That can be as big as selecting and reporting on our target SDG’s to something as small as making sure the cell phones we provide our team members have been sourced ethically (we use sibling B Corp BackMarket if you’re curious).

  • I have experience partnering with CPG brands. Being that CPG is such a huge part of the HigherRing client base - I have had the unique opportunity to learn a little bit about all things CPG including: bookkeeping, marketing, supply chain support, Shopify + Amazon storefronts, expo prep, admin needs, nutrition labels, ingredients reporting, manufacturing and so much more.

  • I have proven skills in customer service, account management, marketing, community building, and brand partnerships. I’m a project manager at heart. I single handedly delivered a new website for my current company, while simultaneously rebranding the whole company, all in less than 6 months and on time for our target deadline of the B Corp Champion’s Retreat that just happened in March.

    Had I built a whole website before, including custom CSS? No.
